Does it matter which side of the road I place my post-mounted mailbox on?

In general, we suggest you install your post-mounted mailbox on the same side of the road as your visible delivery address.  If you wish to change the placement of your mailbox or are installing for the first time, we suggest you contact your mail carrier first for more specific directions.

How far should my post-mounted mailbox be placed from the road?

Keep your mailbox post at least 6" from the road or curb.

Do I have to include my home address number on my post-mounted mailbox?

There is no set requirement about how to display your address number.  We do suggest you consider mail carriers, guests, and even emergency responders when choosing how and where to display your address number.  Having custom house numbers on the side of your mailbox can be both useful, and provide more curb appeal to your home.

Which side of the mailbox should I place the home address number on?

When deciding where to place your home address number, consider mail carriers, guests, and even emergency responders.  We suggest you place your numbers to give the best visibility so they can be both useful, and improve the curb appeal of your home.Reply
